Psych694 V2 Weekly Assignment Outline 1
📋 Assignment Instructions
Assignment Preparation
Imagine throughout this course that you are a professional working at a research and practice center. Your supervisor has asked you to identify a significant problem within a field that warrants further investigation. Your task is to review current literature to pinpoint a specific issue, whether clinical, organizational, developmental, or social, that could benefit from deeper research and potential solutions.
You will be using the same problem statement throughout your course assignments and each week’s assignment or assessment will build upon the previous one.
Watch “PSYCH/694: Identifying a Research Problem” before beginning your assignment to help you better understand how you will find a problem.
There is a transcript available.
Watch the following 2 videos from the University Library on YouTube before you begin your search for peer-reviewed articles:
• “Using the Library Search Box”
• “What is a Peer-Reviewed Journal?”
Select a problem to use for this course that’s relevant to your field of study or area of professional interest.
Research and select 4 or 5 peer-reviewed articles from the University Library that are relevant to your selected problem. Ensure they provide evidence of the problem’s existence, scope, or impact. Review the articles to determine their fit within your project and how they contribute to understanding the problem (e.g., through data, theory, or observed trends).
Read the Weekly Assignment Outline to understand the scope of each assignment and assessment in this course and how they are designed to build upon the previous week, contributing to your final presentation in Week 6.
