📋 Assignment Instructions

Translating psychological research into real-world solutions is a critical step in addressing complex societal problems. This work focuses on applying research findings to develop an evidence-based strategy aimed at addressing a clearly defined issue within applied psychology.   Assessment Preparation Imagine you are professional advancing research for the problem statement you identified in your Week 1 assignment. After several weeks of defining your research problem, reviewing literature, and collecting supporting data, you are now ready to move from analysis to application. Your manager has asked you to design a strategy for an applied psychology project in which you address the identified problem and demonstrate how research can inform real-world practice. To showcase your work, you have been tasked with compiling your findings and proposed strategy into a professional presentation for the team. Download and review the Presentation Template. This example has been customized to reflect your summative assessment presentation components and will help you get a better idea of how to organize your presentation. You are not required to use the template, but you should follow its structure. Assessment Deliverable Create a 12-slide presentation in which you present the information you discovered throughout the course and design a strategy for an applied project in psychology. Include components from previously submitted assignments in your presentation, but in a more engaging manner. In your presentation: Describe your problem statement. Clarify the specific issue, gap, or need your research addresses. Explain why this problem is significant within the applied psychology context. Discuss the existing literature surrounding your problem statement within your chosen research proposal. Summarize key findings from your literature review and how they relate to your problem and highlight any patterns, themes, or contradictions. Include any ethical considerations discussed in prior research (e.g., issues of consent, confidentiality, vulnerable groups). Explain how your potential solution strategy will solve your problem and identify the support you have identified for your solution within the existing literature, data, and information. Explain how the proposed design of your own research methods will support the solution of the identified problem. Describe the methodological approach (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods) and justify why it is appropriate. How would you obtain your sample population to test if your hypothesis (proposed solution) is effective? How many individuals would you like to have in your sample? How would you implement your proposed solution with your sample? Would you have a control group? What would differ between your control group and the group receiving your proposed solution? How would you measure progress, and over what amount of time would this be measured? What indicators would you look for to know if your proposed solution was effective? Would you use any statistical analysis methods to analyze the data you obtain? If so, which methods? How can you ensure that your results will be valid and reliable, and how will you test for those elements? Provide a summary of the data analysis methods you would use to analyze the data you would receive and how you would determine if the proposed solution addressed the problem. Describe how your research would benefit the audience you previously identified. Explain how the results of your project would be applied in real-world contexts.   Include a title slide, reference slide, and detailed speaker notes using at least 50 words per each slide’s speaker notes. Note: Title and reference slides do not contribute toward the overall slide count. Cite at least 8–10 of your selected peer-reviewed, scholarly, or similar references. Format your citations and references according to APA guidelines.  Submit your assessment.
