Often, lack of motivation originates not from one specific instance but a combination of circumstances. Consider this scenario: Your employee Sandra says that she isn’t motivated at work. She tells you that her home life is not the best and that she isn’t making enough money in her current position. She tells you that she’ll be happy if you can give her a raise or if you can promote her to the job that was just announced last week.
