Assignment Information The purpose of these assignments is to get you actively engaged in the content, with hands-on experience working with data and data visualizations. These assignments will include utilizing R and R Studio to visualize data and run stats. It will also help prepare you for the lab experiences, so please consider reviewing and attempting this assignment prior to live class/lab. You are encouraged to work together on these assignments but you are required to submit work that represents your unique, individual work and contributions. Any work that is exactly the same as a peers is unacceptable and will result in a zero. The value in working with others is to hear alternative explanations or understanding. Application and Integration 5 Instructions Students will complete the activities listed in the following text: • Wilbert, J. (2025). Analyzing single-case data with R and scan. doi: 10.5281/zenodo.14950444. https://jazznbass.github.io/scan-Book/Links to an external site. o By accessing the book online, go to Chapter 10, ‘Piecewise linear regressions’.  The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the reader to piecewise linear regression. Please note that for this assignment you will need to install the ‘scan’ library into R. You can find specific instructions on how to do this in Chapter 2 ‘The Scan Package’, in the same text.  Please also note that to create some of the visualizations in Chapter 10, you will also need to install the ‘scplot’ package. You can find more information about this package in Chapter 5, ‘Creating a single case data plot’. Please note that in a later Application and Integration assignment, you will be completing the activities in chapter 9. To complete this assignment, you will need to turn in a .R script that is complete and runs without errors. This .R file should include a header that indicates who the author is, the date, and what the assignment is. The readings for this unit should have illuminated the general logic and form of a linear regression (if you have not done these readings yet, please stop here and go gain familiarity with this concept before returning).
