Assignment Instructions The final iteration of your signature assignment will include an APA formatted submission that includes all the elements of a research paper, but with an emphasis on the results and discussion. 1. INTRODUCTION - should include a brief overview of the data set and include a clear conception of the questions being asked regarding this data set. This is not meant to be an introduction to a typical research article but think of it as an introduction to this data set. This may include some background on the topics relating to this data set but should not be the emphasis. 2. METHODS - should briefly indicate how the data were obtained or created. It should also include information on the types of data that are included in the data set, rows, and columns. 3. RESULTS - should be written in a way that reflects the typical results for a research paper. Though your results may not be as long or robust as a typical research paper, it should include at least 2 visualizations, descriptive statistics, and appropriate statistical analyses for this type of data and the questions being asked. Be sure that you are only including the information appropriate for the results in this section. This section should include some rationalization for the analyses that you have chosen. 4. DISCUSSION - should focus on the actual results and not necessarily expand to include a discussion of how these data can inform the broader context of literature and knowledge in this area (unless it is appropriate given the information provided in the introduction). • One of the most important lessons to take away from any research is what you would have done differently if you had to do it all over again. This section should also include some reflection upon what additional data, measures, etc. might have been valuable to expand your analysis or insights into these relations.
