📋 Assignment Instructions
This one-page infographic assignment measures your mastery of ULOs 3.1 and 3.2.
For this assignment, You have been tasked with presenting at a comparative criminal justice conference. Your conference topic is the contrast between laws related to citizen rights in other countries compared to the amendments in the U.S. Constitution.
To supplement your presentation, you will create an infographic to visually represent a direct comparison between one amendment from the U.S. Constitution and similar laws from two other countries. The U.S. constitutional amendment you choose must pertain to citizen rights. For example, beyond the Bill of Rights, amendments 15, 19, and 26 also pertain to individual rights. Your infographic must address the following:
• Clearly identify the chosen U. S. constitutional amendment as well as the two countries and their respective laws you are compare against the U.S. amendment. Be sure to choose laws that are similar in nature. For example, do not choose the first amendment,, freedom of speech and compare it to a country’s law regarding the death penalty.
• Illustrate the main concept of the amendment compared to the other countries’ laws. Include any similarities and differences, including applicability and any distinctions in how the criminal justice systems enforce the laws.
Remember, this infographic will supplement your presentation, not summarize the entire presentation. It should be a focused, visual example to augment a facet of the presentation and illustrates how rights in other countries may differ from ours.
Your infographic should be designed to capture the reader’s attention and provide an at-a-glance synopsis of the chosen comparison. Utilize creativity to design your infographic, but ensure it is well-organized and readable. Keep the text succinct and use images in a size and manner that do not distract from the message.
