This journal measures your mastery of Unit V ULO 6.1 and Unit VIII ULO 2.1. Throughout this course, we have worked through various moral and ethical theories and their application to the criminal justice system. This journal involves analyzing the relationship between moral theories and the law. Include the following components in your journal: • Choose a topic facing the criminal justice system, such as three-strikes legislation, truth in sentencing, or the War on Drugs. • Analyze the topic based on two moral theories discussed in the unit lessons or required readings. • Explain how the two theories differ in relation to the chosen topic.
