First, choose your crime. 2. Examine this criminal act through the lenses of social learning, social control, and neutralization. 3. Start to layout your map: Place the most general, broad concepts at the top of your map, with more specific, related concepts branching off below. 4. Connect the concepts: Draw lines between related concepts, and label the lines with linking words/phrases to explain the relationship between these ideas. 5.
